INCOME
AND ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must be a resident of Pennsylvania and a resident of Indiana
County. The child needing subsidy must be a U.S. citizen or an alien lawfully
admitted for a permanent residence.
An applicant must be employed at least 20 hours per week, or participate
in work and training to equal 20 hours per week. Hours of need must match
the hours of employment. Subsidized day care is also available to allow
minor parents to complete their high school education or GED. While in school
teen parents
do not need to meet the work requirements.
The applicant
and his/her spouse or any other adult in the household who is the parent
of a child who needs care, must both meet the work requirements.
The adults
in the household will be required to meet face-to-face with a CCIS staff
person
once eligibility has been established.
All eligible
families will be assessed a fee based on income.
